Different Experience, 8/20/2012

Wilride from Norco, CA

I have had this girth for going on 3 years now and I have never had an issue with saddle slippage. I use it on many different horses so it is not that mine is some "special" horse. This girth has held up well and I now want another one for shows.

DANGEROUS, no-stretch "elastic", saddle slippage,d, 6/27/2012

Nikki from Seattle, WA

Despite multiple attempts to get this girth tight enough (says elastic, but sure doesn't feel like it)I ended up flat on my back under my horse from saddle slippage at the canter, resulting in nearly being trampled. Should have read the multiple reviews where people claim the same thing. Just awful and dangerous. I want to know where the "elastic" is on this girth because it has ZERO stretch. Now collecting dust, complete waste of money.

Unsafe & Waste of money, 12/27/2011

fre2fli from Mpls.MN

I bought this girth about 2 months ago, & since purchasing have fallen off of horses due to saddle slippage 3 times. I also am constantly adjusting my saddle while riding due to it shifting to the right or left. I would not recommend this girth to anyone. I hadn't fallen off a horse due to saddle movement until I purchased this girth. The horses ( both green/training & show level of multiple disciplines) I've used this on also don't seem to be hapy while it is being tightened or on them either. I am really hoping I can exchange this for the SMX girth that stays put and is easily tightend & safe.

Great Product for the Money, 11/1/2010

NATALIE LANGSTON from Starkville, MS

I have had this girth for 9 years now, and it has been a great product. It is still like new, and it has never rubbed my horse. I have never had a problem with it being tight enough or my saddle slipping. We are usually out for 4+ hours with no problems. My husband is constantly stealing it on our foxhunts and wants one of his own. It is easy to clean and a great buy. We will be purchasing another for this season so that I can have mine back! I can't say enough good things about this girth.

Wintec elastic girth, 11/30/2009

Vicki from York PA

I did not like this girth. My arms and fingers were sore from trying to get it tight and even then the saddle would slip - just could not get it tight enough. Would not recommend.

no real problems, 6/9/2009

Kim from State College

I've been using this girth a year now. It's neat and easy to clean. My only problem is that now I have to put it on higher holes to fit my horse. I think that is the result of saddle billets leather stretching though, not the girth.

Not Good, 12/18/2008

Samie from Cincinnati, OH

I first bought a wintec saddle and loved it so I bought the girth so that it would match. I do not like this girth at all I can not tighten it at all and my horse finds it irritating. It also does not hold my saddle still at all.

not elastic, 12/15/2008

sansha from MD

It is really hard to get a good fit with this girth, because it doesnt seem to give much at all. I think it is not comfortable for the horse either when you are trying to do it up. Supposedly this girth has elastic in the middle, but it doesnt seem like it. Get a traditional girth with elastic at each end.

Elastic, 9/30/2008

Teena from Pleasantville, NY

Ive worked at many barns and always used the traditional leather girths with the elastic at one end. It came my time to purchase my own and thought Id try and save since the others can be mucho bucks. Big mistake. This girth really doesnt get as snug as I need it too. If you like the elastic in the traditional girth, then stick with that type.
