Great, great, great!, 6/3/2012

Danielle from Michigan

I have a young paint horse whom I don't believe was started the best way (bought her last year). She is super headstrong, and even my trainer's (who uses this on his stud for reining) girlfriend (who also trains)said she had WAY to much control of her head. I work with her on the ground every time I ride, but she was still just too headstrong and didn't respect me at all in the saddle. I was recommended this bit and BOY what a great transformation! She tries to push through it, but she soon finds out she can't. She stops almost on a dime now, and she respects it a lot more than a regular snaffle! Our training is going a lot smoother now, and it's more fun now that I feel secure in having control of her. I recommend it to anyone!

A different Horse!!, 5/31/2012

TJ from IL

I bought a TWH about 6 months ago. Until then, the previous owner was using a moderate/aggressive bit in her mouth. As a fairly novice rider, I wasn't comfortable using an aggressive bit in fear of being too aggressive myself. That said, I read about a lot of different bits and decided to try a Mikmar. Generally speaking, it was a 'good' bit but I never felt like I had the control I needed. Particular when it came to collection and stopping. A friend of mine has been using this bit on his (2) QH with great success so I decided to give it a try and bought one. I started by introducing her to the bit in the round pen. She was immediately comfortable with it in her mouth and in a matter of 5 minutes was responding quickly to the bit with almost effortless queues. I am far less harsher with this bit than I needed to be with the Mikmar! The before and after was remarkable and immediate!! Her stops are responsive, her collection is incredible, she's driving from her hind quarters which transformed her gait from slightly below average to fast and smooth. I went from considering to sell her, to buying this bit for $20 and wouldn't sell her for any other horse! Best investment I've made so far.

Awesome product, 2/20/2012

Emily from Minnetrista, MN

This bit works really well. I use it for my paint in showing and he loves it. before with a snaffle it took a lot to set his head, but now I barly have to use any pressure. I us it when i am training for dressage and it works great9not in shows of course.) The price is great too, it is usually $60 other places. I tell of of my friends about how great it is. Thanz state line!!

Great Product, 2/18/2012

Sarah K. from Shickshinny, PA

I bought this bit after being recommended it by my trainer, for my 9 yr old gelding. He's extremely stubborn and my trainer had used this bit on other horses. I put it on him and it was very rough to handle. He is very touchy and sensitive. This bit was a bit harsh to use with him, especially for someone like me whose sometimes alittle heavy on the reins. I would definitely recommend this product anyway, baring in mind that if you have a sensitive horse like mine your a little more light with your hands.

Awesome bit!, 10/7/2011

Brianna from Michigan

I bought this bit for my pleasure horse that was constantly pulling through a tomthumb and would not go 'pleasure speed' without a fight, this bit changed all of that! My horse slows right down and does not try to race around, this bit is going to really improve our proformance! It really is a great bit.

Great Bit w/ for great Price, 4/27/2011

Brittney from SE Okla.

I bought this bit for a little mustang mare I rescued. She had been handled all wrong and was extremely pushy and rude. She would completely push through a snaffle and never blink. I began using this bit a few weeks ago and now it is like I am riding a seasoned horse. She immediately responded to this bit. Stops and turns on a dime with no head-shaking, pulling etc. Great bit for a great price. As others have said, soft hands are a must. The pressure is there when you need it, but could really do some damage if used inappropiately.

Love Love Love this Bit, 4/22/2011

Amber from Holyoke, MA

This bit is a bit from heaven. My 23 yr old QH who is an ex barrel racer and team penner didn't have a stop button only go go go. the Bars in his mouth were broken from team penning so he basically has no feeling when it comes to bits and I was constantly fighting with him. Not with this Bit. For the first time ever I actually had an enjoyable ride the way riding should be. He wasn't fighting me at all. But, u do have to be careful with this bit you only need to apply a little bit of pressure or as needed since it a stronger Bit. Im in love with this Bit

My horse actually stops now!, 9/25/2010

Nikki from

I have an older thoroughbred who used to have absolutely no stop! He wold take off running and you would have to hang on and pray he would stop. I used this bit on him twice and now he stops on a dime no matter what he's in! It doesn't hurt their mouth either and isn't intmidating. It also helps achieve collection. I also use this bit on my green paint for flag team and it works great on him too!

Its Great, 6/27/2010

Shaelyn a. from

My uncle gave me his rope horse for Christmas and he was great for the first few mounths but the hackemore110 was making dents on his face so my trainer recemended me to this bit. Sadly i bought it from a store in my local market. It was $72.55. Now my horse is more responsive and he is so quit in this bit my 3 year-old sister can controll him at a canter.I strongly would request this product to anybody. Even if you are not having problems it improves anything you have mastered and it's just "Great".
