He keeps at it, but no colic!, 9/18/2012

Cody Cheek from fairbanks AK

My favorite lesson horse (that i'm soon buying) cribs like a fiend, it's sad really, and he'll crib all day with this, but he doesn't colic, which is insanely important, because he colics almost immediately, he can make the noise, and do the motion, but he cant get any air, which is good. it has given him several abrasions though, but that's because his owner left the collar dirty and him sweaty and set him outside for three weeks and nobody rode him (it was nasty, poor boy) but bottom line, keeps them from colicing, but won't save a fence. 1 pet approval because he hates it.

No Problems!, 6/4/2012

Babybaby1900 from Colorado

My horse was not a terrible cribber, but she did indeed colic with her previous owner! I got this ribbing collar, and it works wonders for her! Although, the cribbing collar was giving her sores, so I got the fleece covers! Most people say that they don't help, but if you put them on right, they get rid of the sores. The only problem with the fleece covers is that they get dirty quickly, but they are machine washable! :)

HORRIBLE!, 4/5/2012

wildhorses1989 from Temecula, CA

Bought this for my TB mare. She wore it and it started leaving marks. The fleece they sell to cover doesn't cover the spot under the neck so of course it rubbed her neck. It ended up rubbing her neck raw and fur came off. Her skin actually was stuck to the collar. I tried loosening but that didnt work. I do not reccomend this to anyone!

Very good, 3/25/2012

LilyBoo7 from Sedalia, CO

I have a mare that used to crib all the time, but with the collar, she never tries to crib. It did leave really bad sores for a while but the fleece covers fixed that problem! Great product that does it's job fantastically!

Works well but might cause sores, 1/25/2012

A Horse Girl from Alabama

Keeps my horse from colicing from sucking in too much air. Works effectively and immediately, but does cause some sores. The fleece covers you can buy separately do not cover the spots that have the sores. Don't really know what to do.

Not the best., 11/2/2011

Unhappy customer from Tornado Alley

I got this cribbing collar for my 6 year old gelding, and it worked pretty good for the first 2 weeks (on hole number 5-7 can't remember) And then I had to tighten it to hole number 9 which scared me way too bad. It just look way too tight and inhumane. Plus it was rubbing his browband area. So I returned it and instead bought a Rusty Dare Cribbing Collar. I am WAY happier with it. It totally stopped him from cribbing 100% If you want to keep your horse from cribbing, get a Rusty Dare Cribbing Collar, not this one.

Don't waste your money, 10/5/2011

Cribber owner from Tornado Alley

I own a paint horse that cribs. It's not a severe case, but it's not very mild either. His old owner let him crib, so some of his teeth have worn down. So I bought this. It worked pretty good for the first 2 weeks. Then I had to tighten it. A LOT. I eventually had to tighten it so much it scared me. SO I returned it. Don't buy this thing. I got a Rusty Dare Cribbing Collar instead, and it's amazing. My horse will try (not often at all) but he can't crib!!

Not effective., 8/16/2011

S from

We had problems adjusting it enough to get our horse to stop cribbing. It got wet and was too loose, then dried and was too tight and he laid down and refused to eat. We took it off and will not be putting it on again. Honestly you'd be better off letting your horse crib. Very disappointing.

Cribbers Beware!, 2/7/2011

ETtheOutlaw from Oklahoma

This collar is accurately named, it has definitely been a miracle for my cribbing horse. Since he has been wearing it I have not even seen him ATTEMPT to crib, not even once. The collar got wet and the leather did stretch out a bit, so it had to be retightened. Keep in mind that the front strap in front of the ears is what stops the cribbing, so it must remain pretty tight to work. The neck strap merely holds the collar in place, so make sure you can put two fingers between it and your horse's throat. It may seem expensive for what it is, just a couple of straps of leather, but it is WORTH EVERY PENNY! You will not spend any more money on anything else to stop cribbing, this collar works immediately and is all you need. Stateline also has the best price...it was $50 at my local Tractor Supply store.

It Works!, 6/13/2010

Rose from

Just received the miracle collar 2 days ago for my 8 yr old TB mare who has always been a mild cribber. I've had her about 9 mos and she came with a different ineffective cribbing strap. The leather finally broke, so I ordered this one. This collar was effective immediately! She has not even attempted cribbing over the last 48 hrs. I highly recommend this product.

Miracle Collar, 6/6/2010

Donna Hendrix from

When I first bought Jack, my 8 yr old quarter horse gelding,I was devastated to find that he is a cribber. My fault, I didn't ask and she didn't tell. After trying other products, I ordered your miracle collar. He has worn it for 3 days now. I started with it snug like the photo but thought it was to tight so I made the brow band loser. It still works. I am so happy with it. No more hearing that awful sucking sound and my trees are happy also. I just ordered the fleece cover to make it more comfortable for him. Thank you and Jack thanks you. Donna Hendrix and I'm A Happy Jack Too Goldendale Washington

Recomend but.., 2/16/2009

tashajean from Manheim, Pa

I highly recammend this product for WIND SUCKERS. not horses that eat wood. Also you have to make it really tight. I am having rubbing problems but i have been putting vaciline on before i put it on my horse and it stopped the rubbing. My horse hates it as it stopes him from wind sucking and its exspensive but other then that i like it.

Works well, 12/26/2008

from San Luis Obispo, CA

This is a great product. It does work to stop cribbing, but I have found that after a while of use, especially if it gets wet when it rains etc, the leather will stretch out, and you have to continually adjust the straps, otherwise your horse will start cribbing again. I would also buy the fleece pads that can attach on this, because after many months of use it did start to rub my horses face in certain spots. They seem sort of costly to me, since its just straps of leather, but it works.

Miracle Collar, 8/18/2008

Jessica from Portsmouth, OH

The collar works very well if it is adjusted properly. My gelding still cribbed for a while after I put it on, but once it was adjusted more snugly, it is impossible for him to crib. Please note that it is not tight enough to cut off his airway or prevent him from eatingdrinking.
