This was the first Dressage saddle I have ever bought. The saddle is very comfortable on my 5 year old QH/Arab mare. But when I ride my 23 year old mare, it makes me tip back, and I can't find my balance. The girth fits one horse and not the other :( The reins and bit were great, but the overall bridle was horrible. It took forever to loosen or tighten. The stirrups and stirrup leathers are perfect. I got a lousy saddle pad with mine. it's comfy but it makes my 5 year old sweat badly. I'm going to have to buy a new girth and some saddle pads. But would I reccomend this? It depends on what you are looking for. The price is what the quality is! Don't expect a 1,000 saddle! Over all, it was an okay buy.

I mainly bought this set because I am breaking in two horses and I figure it will be good enough for that - which it probably is. Meanwhile I also put it on my warmblood and I have to say that this saddle gives any rider a horrible seat, it is leaning back way too much which can't feel good for the horse. I bought an 18" one and I am sitting at the very far back and so is my daughter who is 12 and has a much smaller behind. The deepest point definitely is not where it should be (if there is one). The girth they shipped me maybe will fit a Clydesdale but not my warmbloods and the stirrup pads almost fall out of the stirrups, way too loose. I do like the bridle. Would I recommend it, not really, it will still serve a good porpuse for lungeing my young ones, you get what you pay for I guess. It's cheap altogether, I didn't espect a $1000 saddle.

My mom bought me this saddle because I was going to equestrian college and needed my own tack. I tried it once. I felt tipped forward, and couldn't get my balance, no matter what. As I was dismounting, the stirrup bar snapped open, my stirrup came off, and I landed on my tailbone. I never did go to equestrian college because I fractured a vertebra in my lumbar spine.
For the price, it's fine. My mom is not well-off, and she wanted to make me happy. Of course it's not top-quality leather. Of course the girth didn't fit. And if I ever see stirrup bars like these again, I am running in the opposite direction.

I like the saddle but I did not recieve everything when I ordered it. I did not get the stirrup pads, and I also got a cheap fleece pad instead of the quited cottn pad. I also think they should allow us to pick a girth size instead of sending a 26" that is too small. It is a good starter set. It is good quallity. The saddle is very comfortable. I just wish I had gotten everything.

I bought this saddle for my daughter. She has used it for lessons all summer, and it is a great begginer saddle. Keep in mind that you are paying only 200 for the whole set. The quality is good for the price, the only thing that you can not pick your size on everything. We got an oversize bridle, we own a small arab and she really needed a cob, other than that it is a great starter set. I give it my mom aproval, for price and quality at this price level.

Like i said on the last comment, the saddle is great, the girth not so much... When i said the bridle is ok i hadnt tried it on my horse yet. I absolutly love the bridle! I fits my arab cross great and is nicley made. My saddle is now the best saddle i have ever ridden in now that i have it broken in. The girth is actually ok but it was big for my arab so i had to punch holes in the saddle to make it fit right. I give this entire set 5 stars:)

When you take it out of the box its great. Nothing like the pic though. I wasnt expecting it but i really like it. It comes with a whool all purpose pad an ok bridal and bit and a terrible girth. So your gonna need to get a nother girth..But other than the girth, i really like this saddle! Great leather quality and AMAZING price! Fits my horse amazingly! (looks sdifferent than the pic)

Well, I gave it 3 stars overall because I think the price is fair for what you get (on sale for $200), and I certainly didn't expect high-quality leather when I ordered this product. The leather quality is less than average, the craftsmanship is not very good, and the picture of the saddle is different than the saddle actually looks. The flaps are much wider at the top than shown in the picture...add about 2-3 inches to the back top edge of the flap, almost looks like a saddle-seat saddle like they use on gaited horses. The girth is a size 26" so very small. Though I noticed if you order it directly through the manufacturer you have a 28" option. The stirrup leathers are too short for dressage. I am 5'6" and in order to have them long enough, the end of the leather is too short to put in the keeper. The bridle is very stiff, and if you bend it, you may see cracks around the buckles and holes. I would give yourself a good hour or two to condition this tack before use, and I would check it regularly (especially the bridle) for loose stitching and cracks.
I got a great laugh out of it though when I looked at the stirrup pads, which read 4 2/4" for the size instead of 4 1/2". That was a riot! And the pamphlet it comes with that talks about the warranty and product info says "made from only the finest leather." Okay, you don't have to lie. We all know we're not getting a Barnsby for $200. But, anyone who is in the market for tack should know not to expect anything more for the price. It is fair.
