Careful use gives great results, 3/29/2013

Hanobreeder from Northern CA

Please do not use this dewormer on horses that have not been treated for a long time! I have used this product (carefully!) for over 10 years. Other reviewers are spot-on about deworming 1 month before with Ivermectin. I use it for horses that show signs of worms even though they have been on a program or new horses after using the Ivermectin 1 month before first! The first time I used it years ago on a horse with unknown deworming history, she had a major allergic reaction to the worm die-off and had to have the vet out to save her. Also this product has very little leeway for mis-dosing so weigh your horse and use the correct amount. I use it in the morning when I'm going to be home just in case. Very effective - don't be afraid to use it on horses already on a deworming program. They don't like the taste at all but it melts quickly.

Don't use anything else, 9/22/2011

Jenice Pollock from Joshua, Texas

After attending a seminar by Fort Dodge about this product and how it really works & compares to other wormers I decided to stay with this one & it has paid off. I have been using it for 12 years.

Please don't use this product!! It gave my horse founder. He almost died, but he pulled through. Don't use this unless you WANT your horse to become sick. Horrible product.

Still a risk, 6/19/2011

Barbara from payson, UT

This product was used on our small herd of FResians. My retired gelding went blind. He was dosed right. The young stock had no negative reaction. we do not use it anymore.

Quest, 2/19/2011

Seco Stream Ranch from Rimbey, Alberta

This is the only product that I can use for a couple of my hard to worm mares. I just take a small pail of grain and this gel coats the grain. The mares eat every crumb.

Best wormer, 1/6/2011

Carl from Pierce City,Mo.

The only reason anyone would have a problem with this wormer is from not following instructions. This is not generic Ivermectin and if you do not read and follow instructions you may in rare cases have a very mild at the worst reaction. Excellent product. One problem some owners have with this wormer is the large die off of worms because it is so effective, hit them first with some generic ivermectin wait 4 weeks and worm them with Quest. Great product.

Quest dewormer, 10/25/2010

EleanorNewmeyer from Howell, NJ

This is a great product. It works beautifully on the young horses I have coming from various farms. We have an A rated hunter/jumper barn that starts many young horses out in the show ring. I am careful not to use this product on horses that are stressed or may have a significant parasite population. I will use a less efficient product first to prevent a heavy die off reaction. Then I go to Quest to keep them as parasite free as possible!

This is the only wormer I have found that will even touch summer sores. It seems to stop it from spreading.

EASY!, 11/28/2008

Valerie Peabody from Alabama

I love Quest Gel! Because its a gel, it comes out of the tube fast, wich means my horse has to have a tube in his mouth for less time and I think he even likes the tase better than the pastes. All those goopy pastes usuall end up on the ground or on my shirt where they clearly arent doing their job! My horse gets ALL the Quest Gel when I use it so I know my horse is getting the parasite protection he needs. I reccommend this to everyone!
