Highlander from Fallbrook CA
I have had Tucker saddles and these saddles. I prefer these over the Tucker because they fit my horses better and are comfortable. The leather is not as nice as the tucker but everything else is better. For the low cost I can just replace the saddle if the leather starts to became too worn. I have had these saddles for several years and the leather is still good.

I ordered this saddle because I wanted an inexpensive saddle that would fit my horse, be comfortable for me, and be light weight. When I put it on my horse, it seemed to fit, until I went to get on. I could not get it tight enough so that it would not slip to the side. It also slipped when I was riding, so I had to stop and readjust it several times. My horse has prominent withers and is not heavy. I tried different pads, thinking that might help, but no. Also, the back end of the saddle would raise up if my horse put her head out or down, so a rear cinch would be necessary. The saddle looks nice, but some of the things I didn't like, other than how it didn't fit my horse, were the fact that the metal parts came to me tarnished, and the screws that held the saddle together had some sharp points on them. Where the backs of the screws met other parts of leather, from normal contact under your leg, there would have been quite a bit of scratching and marring over time. I have since ordered a custom made saddle that fit my horse perfectly during the first ride...sometimes quality will end up costing, but it is worth the expense in the end.

I bought this saddle at a different store and this is a very comfy saddle. Wide enough for my gril and cozy for me. The first few rides can be tough as the leather needs to break in.
