Spend a little more and get the Wintec..., 4/10/2011

K. Barnes from NC

Spend a little more and get the Wintec leadline saddle. I've been using them for years and they are far better. They are balanced and the leathers DO stay on. If you need a girth for a small pony, look on line to find a small string dressage girth. :)

not thrilled, 3/22/2011

really from michigan

i bought this saddle for my daughter and the stirrup leathers will not stay on it. where the leathers are supposed to attatch to the saddle, the hooks are pulling out and if my daughter turns her toes in at all the leathers fall off. not happy!

Decent for the price..., 2/23/2010

Alexis from NY

Not completely thrilled with this saddle. I bought it for my young daughter to use on her pony. MAJOR downfall is the billets!! You are only able to take the girth up to the flap and not under like a normal English Saddle. Had to have a dressage girth special ordered because we couldn't find one short enough. If you are using it on a bigger horse I'm sure they are great to reduce bulk but on ponies you are stuck without much adjustment. She is riding a Welsh mare and we had to order a 12" girth, when she would normally need a 28". It is also STAPLED together, as in fabric stapled to the tree and stirrup bars are VERY loose and are not attached well. Don't waste your $$ and get a good old fashioned leather saddle...

great saddle, 9/28/2008

Heather from Camden SC

I bought this saddle for my 5 year old. Its nice because the seat is deep and the synthetic suade makes her feel secure. The strap across the front also helps her take hold of the reins and hold on, and at the same time not jerk on her ponys mouth. The twist is very narrow though, and you may as well purchase a dressage type girth with the saddle, ordinary girths will not be small enough.
