Personally I wasn't expecting much from this blanket rack as other fold downs are much more expensive. The brackets that mount to the wall seem to be good and sturdy, but the actual bar isn't on a C loop to let the bar fold down smoothly or lock into place. Instead the bar piece sits in two holes drilled into the brackets. Wouldn't be a huge deal if the bracket were thicker, unfortunately it is only about 1/4" thick so the rack collapses very easily which can be annoying when you are trying to place two or three blankets on and it collapses. Also I didn't place the rack high enough for it to be collapsed and my blankets to stay off the ground. This was my personal fault, but just keep that in mind when mounting so you don't end up with four extra unsightly holes in your stall front/tack room. Overall it's not a bad buy and I would buy it again, but only for single blanket storage. Once it has three blankets (one sheet, one medium weight turn out, and one heavy weight turn out) on it it collapses very easily. I use this rack in my tack room as well for drying my saddle pads. Works fabulous! I turn them horse side up to let them dry with the rack locked out, then when they dry I flip the saddle pad over and collapse the bar. But, plan on having one for each thick saddle pad. Also note that the green looks very scary in the photos (almost a lime green). It is not nearly that bright, it is a hunter green (thank goodness!). I purchased the buy 2 get 1 free for $15.98 and quite frankly you're not going to be able to get any other blanket rack for a little over $5 each. The metal is not PVC coated, so that is one error in the listing, but the metal is painted. Like many other reviews mine is scratched and scuffed up, but I don't really mind considering my racks always have something on them. I purchased these to serve a purpose, not look pretty. Be prepared to provide your own hardware as well. The hardware provided wasn't quite heavy duty enough in my opinion.

I ordered 3 of these bars and only 1 of them actually folded down upon arrival. After working with the 2nd bar it finally folded down with a little forcing. The 3rd one is either up or down but won't switch between the two without a screw driver and a hammer.

Easy to install and durable. Arrived a little scratched up, but overall a good product for the price.

The price is good, it's usable, but has faults. The included scews are junk, use your own. It is hard to get it to drop down, just poorly made. I wouldn't buy again.

J Bar 6 Ranch from Sandpoint, Idaho
Easy to install, durable, and looks great. A wonderful addition to the stall doors. This bar gives each stall it's own horse friendly place to hang a halter or winter blanket. Folds down out of the way when not in use. I highly recommend to others.

This blanket bar is not PVC coated metal as stated in the decsription its just painted and arrived very scratched! So if you dont mind touching it up with a spray can of paint, its a pretty good price. And the sizing is not right, it measures 42 from end to end and only 5 of depth.
