Fabulous results, 5/7/2013

RobinM from Grants Pass, OR

I have a gelding who foundered severely about 10 years ago. He recovered quite well, considering but periodically would develope abscesses in his front feet. Within 2 weeks of adding Remission to his diet I saw a difference in his feet. He has been on Remission over a year now; not once has he shown any sign of an imminant relapse and he has not experienced a single recurrence of abscesses. This is a great product at any cost! The fact it is so reasonable is a bonus.

Simply Awesome, 4/13/2013

Sandy from MN

Started my insulin-resistant and founder-prone arab gelding on this at the farrier's recommendation a couple years ago. Awesome help. He's sound, happy, healthy, has solid hoof growth and Remission is a permanent part of his management program. Recently added it to the diet of my 29yr old QH (non-metabolic), who has had sore feet for many years, displaying navicular-type pain. A month on Remission and she's willfully trotting and cantering around the pasture on her own, pain-free. Something I haven't seen her do in years. Amazing stuff.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS STUFF!!!, 2/5/2013

Becca M from morgan.rebecca18@gmail.com

My thoroughbred mare had dull color to her, her hooves would never hold shoes and cracked so easily. Since I have put her on this, she is so shinny and now pure black like she is suppose to be, her hooves have grown out so beautifully and she really seams to be digesting her feed much better now! Just put my new thoroughbred on it and already looking more shiny!

A true Miracle, 12/1/2012

Jeane Anderson from Menominee, Mi.

For the past fifteen years our pony has suffered from chronic founder. We tried everything we could think of from controlling his feed and pasture to finally isolating him from the other horses. He survived on continuous bute and banamine treatment. He spent his days looking over the fence at the other horses and grew more bored and depressed. We had come to the conclusion that his quality of life was non existent and would have to put him down rather then see him suffer any longer. Being the sweetheart he is I decided to look one more time for a solution. I found your "Remission"...what a miracle!!! Within the first week I noticed the swelling of his hooves was gone and his demeanor perked up. It has been several months now and he is on a maintenance dose and no more founder episodes. It is so good to see him out all day with the other horses, running, playing, and grazing as he should be. "Remission" has literally saved his life and I can't begin to Thank You enough!!

Amazing, 11/29/2012

Steph from FL

I am very skeptical on supplements but after my 14 yo QH mare cracked the angle of her hoof wall by the heel through to soft tissue, my farrier and vet but suggested putting her on this. Never did any shoes or surgeries, just cut the bad part off little by little, did antibiotics, and Remission. 1 1/2 months later, she is sound, running and bucking around, and never takes a sore step. Her hoof has grown almost an inch now and she is usually a slowwww grower. Also her body weight looks amazing which she was a little underweight before we started this supplement. I will keep her on it forever.

Good, but..., 11/24/2012

Mariah from Ely, IA

I got this product almost 6 months ago with the intention on using it with my 18yr old QH. I still have yet to see what it is doing for him. Could be just him because he is a stubborn old man. But I am continuing to feed it to him until it is gone. He doesn't seem to like the taste of it very much either.

Really does work!, 11/5/2012

Sarah from Southern California

I keep my girls barefoot, and one of my mares leans towards softer feet and abscesses, in spite of attempts to keep her "place in the shade" dry. She also leans towards metabolic issues, so everything going in must be managed to keep her weight and soundness from becoming issues. I knew the best resolution for her problems was to come from the inside. I made some searches on the various forums to help solve abscess tendencies, and many folks recommended this supplement, although my farriers weren't familiar with it. We gave it a go. The hoof indeed did toughen up considerably, and in what I felt was a short amount of time. Within 2 visits the farrier was having to work much harder to trim the hoof wall. They both remarked that her feet were now quite hard, definitely improved. Well worth the time and investment. I have been happy to actually find a supplement that supports its claims, and WORKS!

Remission/ awesome, 10/10/2012

Pam from Paris, Wi

My mule won't touch it, but my rocky eats it up like its a treat. She is now sound and I can ride her again. The mule still isn't sound so I'm going to try Quiessence. Maybe a pellet will be better

Saved My Mare's Life, 8/5/2012

Jennifer from Laurinburg, NC

My 6 year old quarter horse mare became founder prone after a severe acute case caused by nitrate over load (turned out on a hog runoff field by former owner). She regained her soundness and was doing well. When she suffered an injury to her left front knee, she foundered on the right front this time with a large amount of rotation and sinkage. She could barely walk and there was little the Carrie could do because she WOULD NOT grow any toe die to the tissue damage. We were about to give up when a friend recommended Remission. I saw IMMEDIATE results and the farrier was finally able to really work on her hoof to get her more comfortable. She's still lame and I suspect will always be due to the severe rotation, but shes comfortable enough to live her life as a pasture mate. If not for Remission she would not be here.

Great Stuff, 3/22/2012

CW from Kentucky

I've lost not one, but two horses to founder. My vet says it's just incredibly bad luck but I'm not taking any chances. All of my horses are on low-starch diets and my cresty "equine metabolic syndrome" little Arab mare is on this stuff, in addition to being on a dry lot as many as 20 hours a day. Anyway, it really seems to help (especially since she's trapped in the barnyard 6 months of the year!). She looks great, in perfect weight and with beautiful feet, and is shedding out very nicely. I know you can't pin all that on a scoop of something once a day, but I do consider Remission to be an important part of what's working very well for her. 10 pounds will last you a good long while, and Miss Picky will eat it, too. All in all it's a great value for the dollar. After a great last year with Remission, I'm here ordering another 10 pounds!

Cynthia from South Carolina

This product is really amazing and works so well. My Welsh/Arab mare was so fat when we rescued her and I thought she would for sure founder. We put her on Remission immediately with a multivitamin and hay only, and she is doing AMAZING. This stuff is worth it!

Unbelievable, 8/3/2011

Sandy from Stevens,Pa

I have a 5 yr old Appendix Q-horse. For a couple of years now he has had a big cresty neck and after researching this more and found out about insulin resistance, I also noticed more of a fatty tail head on him. I had always wrote it off as him being a q-horse and having a solid blocky build. His neck thinned a little over winter but then in the spring he'd fill out more again. He never went lame on me but I noticed more of his stance resting in the stall he'd have his front feet positioned out further and/or maybe his back ones out the back a little like they do when they founder. I'd feel his hooves and feel heat. After searching the web I came across Remission. Purchased it, started him on a low starch/sugar feed, cut back the amount of feed he used to get, restricted the amount of hay and I am trying to follow the best time periods for grazing and within a week his neck went down as well as his tail head. After being on it a month his neck is down to normal and he has thinned out all over his body. His hooves are usually cool unless he's had a little too much but they always cool off again. This product is amazing. And whats better is all the other ingredients are so good for them. It's not just the mag. or chrom. as some of the other products are that are on the market. I totally recommend this supplement.

Wonder Supplement!, 7/18/2011

Renie from Franklin, PA

I purchased this for a 2 year old miniature mare that had signs of founder in all 4. She could barely walk 20 feet prior to getting this. Within 1 month of use she was walking with the rest of my minis and in two months she was running and bucking as if nothing was wrong with her! If you have a horse that has foundered buy this and watch them progress. It saved her life.

(NO MUZZLE):) The cost is way low if you compair to the rest of IR or founder supplements. 4lbs. last me 3 months. I still do loading dose daily so thats 2scoops a day. This product has also made my son's pony calmer and more level headed!! A must try product and you won't be sorry!! Been using Remission for 2yrs. and don't plan to ever stop!

Life saving, literally, 3/1/2011

Nisa from Idaho

This product saved my mare's life, period. She was having such a terrible time that I was starting to come to terms with the very real possibility that we might have to consider euthanasia. But after doing some research, I found this product and read all the wonderful, and extremely helpful, reviews, and decided we had nothing to lose. Well, not only did this product help her fully recover from her latest bout with founder -- in combination with the equally outstanding product, Equine America B-L Pellets -- but she has been happy and sound ever since. Words simply cannot describe the feeling I get while watching her move around in total comfort, and play once again with her equine family out in the pasture. Sorry to seem so dramatic, but this product saved my mare and spared our family from losing one of our most treasured members.

Wonderful product!, 9/19/2010

Sharon from

Remission successfully prevents and treats laminitis. It can be fed by hand, in feed, or added to a free choice mineral mix. If fed consistently through the months of green grass, you can avoid any "tender feet", or full-fledged founder. I have recommended this product to my vets and my farrier.

I give this to my horses as soon as the spring grass starts coming up to prevent founder. One of the horses is fat and would be at risk. So far, after two years use, no problems at all. The price is very reasonable on Horse.com so I will continue to use it.

A Lifesaver, 4/4/2010

Helen Kellicut from

My retired reining horse foundered for the first time six years ago. I pulled him off pasture & put him on a low starch diet as prescribed by the vet. Three months later he foundered again. The next year we went through two more sessions of founder & I feared having to put the poor guy out of his misery. As a last resort, I bought a tub of Remission. He's been on it ever since, gets to be in the pasture with his friends again & just celebrated his 34th birthday.
