Product Summary:
Korsteel Uxeter Cambridge Mouth Kimberwick

Commonly seen today in the English events of breed association horse shows, the Kimberwick uses a curb chain for increased leverage. The Uxeter Kimberwick has two rein slots, each changing the desired result. The upper slot is used to increase the pressure on the tongue, while the lower slot is used to increase leverage and curb chain pressure.

Great Results!, 1/15/2012

Brittany from Canby, OR

For the past 2 years, I've used a twisted wire snaffle(which was recommended by my previous trainer) on my 10 yr. old Quarter Horse. Recently, I went to our High School Equestrian Team practice, and our coach recommended this bit to me. She's letting me use hers for awhile; but now I'll be buying my own! She even said herself that she is a "bit freak" and I'm glad of that because I love this new bit! Before, my horse had problems with leaning on the bit and sticking his nose out, but I immediately noticed a difference after trying this. Now, he gets collected easier, and I don't have to constantly pull on his face like I did before! At first, I was unsure about it because this bit is solid and looks like a curb, but I'm so glad I use it now! I highly recommend this for someone who wants something better!

Amazing!, 9/6/2011

Riley from Thompson, CT

I used this with my off the track thoroughbred gelding from the age from four to eleven. We are now moving down to a more 'gentle' bit. This bit is amazing if you know how to use it. Not for a novice rider with harsh hands! I'd recommend it for any OTF TB with a hard racer mouth.

Great choice, 1/21/2011

Madeline from Charlotte, NC

I dont have this specific bit, but am boring one on trial from my trainer. I have a young paint horse that is extremely headstrong, and problematic. With any type of curb bit, he tossed his head to the point of dangerous. He was hitting my head and tossing the riens over his head. He does not listen in a snaffle, and i tried this in him. He is a changed horse! He is much more responsive laterally, stops easier.he only has the occasional habitual temper tantrum. It is an amazing tranformation!

Excellent bit-, 8/19/2010

Tressa Scott from

I was really skeptical when someone reccomended the Kimberwicke bit to me, but it never hurts to try something new (I am glad I did)! I have noticed a major improvement in my horses riding. He now will actually stop when you tell him to when he is in a run. Although you have to make sure the chain is tight enough otherwise you mide as well stick with a snaffle. Thanks again State Line Tack!
